The Story: Who We Are
Cream a hand-picked vintage clothing store with shops in Amsterdam, Deventer, Zwolle en Arnhem. We curate vintage with character: Y2K denim, vintage Levi’s, oversized blazers, retro sportswear, Hawaii shirts and one-off pieces you won’t see anywhere else. Every item is one of a kind, and once it’s gone, it’s gone.
We travel the world to find vintage worth wearing. Every piece passes through our hands before it hits the rack, and we only keep what feels right in fit, fabric and finish.
A thrift store sells whatever comes through the door. We don’t. Every item at Cream is hand-selected for style, fit and condition. No random fast fashion, no worn-out leftovers, just curated vintage you’ll actually want to wear.
Constantly. We refresh our racks several times a week, because nothing here is repeatable. The best pieces usually leave within days, so what you see today probably won’t be there next weekend.
The Fit: Vintage Sizing 101
Rarely. Vintage clothing was made before today’s standard sizing, and the same number can vary wildly depending on the brand and the decade. A vintage M might fit like a modern S, and a 70s 32-waist often runs smaller than a 32 today. Always try on.
Yes. Every store has fitting rooms and the team is happy to help you find your fit. Take your time, because most vintage pieces only come in one size, so trying on is part of the treasure hunt.
All of it. We don’t sort strictly by gender. Vintage doesn’t care about modern labels, and most of our pieces work across bodies. If it fits and feels right, it’s yours.
The Goods: Quality & Real Vintage
Every pair is hand-verified before going on the floor. We check tags, stitching, fabric and construction. Real vintage Levi’s have details fast fashion just can’t fake, and over time you’ll start spotting them yourself. Read more about real vintage Levi’s.
Yes. Every piece is professionally cleaned before it hits the store. If it wouldn’t pass our own wear-it-tonight test, it doesn’t make the floor.
Vintage is rarely brand new, and small imperfections, natural fading, soft wear and factory marks are part of what makes it real. Anything noticeable is flagged on the tag or by the team. If something was missed, come back to the same store with your receipt and we’ll sort it out with you.
The Visit: Shopping with Us
Find your store over here.
Each store has its own selection, so visiting more than one means seeing very different vintage.
Not yet. Vintage is hard to photograph, harder to size online and best discovered in person. Every piece is one-off, and we want you to feel it, try it and find your own favourite without a screen between you and the rack.
PIN, cash, debit and credit cards, plus contactless options like Apple Pay and Google Pay. Whatever you’ve got in your wallet, we’ve probably got the reader for it.
Yes, please. Tag us when you share, we love seeing how you style your finds. Just keep an eye out for other customers in the frame.
The Extras: Shoes, Trade-ins & More
Yes. Alongside the clothing racks you’ll find vintage sunglasses, belts, bags, sweatshirts, leather jackets and accessories. Selection rotates with what we find, so the only way to know what’s in is to come look.
Sometimes. We don’t take fast fashion or high-street basics, but if you have a piece that’s genuinely special, drop us a message on Instagram with photos. If it’s something we’d put on our floor, we’ll get back to you.
